CHEO Dream home for 2010/11

Our unique Butternut Creek custom home building site will feature this year’s CHEO Dream home on lot #1. The ¾ acre site backs onto mature trees, a flowing Mud Creek and with its Southern exposure light should flood in through the oversized windows.

This year the CHEO model began as a Windingway series home called the Balmoral at just under 3800 square feet. When we finished with our custom modifications the home has grown to be about 4200 square feet and became the Balmoral Village Series.

The custom improvements included a fresh front elevation that blended with its rural estate lot setting. It has a 3 car garage with a rear garden tractor overhead door. The stairs have been squared off, the foyer closet relocated along with the main floor powder room. A large main floor mud room with access to both the garage and side yard was added by moving the laundry to the second floor. The family room, kitchen and breakfast rooms were expanded. The separation between the living room and the dining room changed to offer more family dining space.

Window and door sizes were altered to provide amazing views. The master bedroom with its generous sized walk in closet along with the master ensuite and retreat area all grew in size. These areas also were changed in location and the ensuite bath in configuration. Bedroom 2 and 3 were redesigned to provide for a shared bath.

This home will be finished and furnished in style under the creative eye of Donna Corey from Kiss Interiors. Unique exterior finish materials have been selected, the landscaping has been planned, the finished basement and theatre room designed and we believe it will set new CHEO Dream Home standards.
